1. Purpose and scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Preventra (SMC-Private) Limited, referred to as ‘Preventra’, ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’, collects, uses, shares, stores and protects personal information when you visit www.preventra.co.uk, contact us, submit an enquiry or engage with us in a business capacity.
This policy does not replace a programme-specific privacy notice or consent form. Where Preventra operates a health, screening, navigation or care management programme, the relevant client agreement and participant privacy notice will provide additional information.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide may include your name, organisation, job title, organisation type, area of interest, country or province, estimated employee or patient population, business email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, enquiry details and any information you include in correspondence with us.
We may also receive business contact information from your organisation, a professional introduction, an event, a referral or a publicly available professional source. We may collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the website, such as IP address, browser type, device information, request time and security logs.
Please do not submit medical records, diagnosis details or other sensitive personal information through the general website contact form.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, understand organisational requirements, arrange discussions, prepare relevant proposals, manage business relationships, maintain records, protect the website, prevent misuse, comply with legal obligations and establish or defend legal rights.
We may send business communications about services that are relevant to your role or organisation where permitted. You may ask us to stop these communications at any time.
4. Basis for processing
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, we process information with your consent, to take steps requested before entering a contract, to perform a contract, to comply with a legal obligation, or for legitimate business interests that do not override your rights. Sensitive information, including health information, is processed only where a valid additional condition applies, such as explicit consent, an authorised health programme or another lawful basis recognised by applicable law.
5. Sharing information
We may share information with authorised Preventra personnel, professional advisers, technology and hosting providers, communication providers, approved delivery partners, and public authorities where required by law. We require service providers to use information only for the agreed purpose and to apply appropriate confidentiality and security controls.
We do not sell personal information.
6. International access and transfers
Preventra is registered in Pakistan and may use service providers or authorised personnel in other countries. Where information is accessed or transferred across borders, we apply contractual, organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and the applicable legal requirements.
7. Retention
We retain business enquiries and related correspondence for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is required for an active relationship, contract, legal obligation or dispute. Technical and security logs are retained only for the period reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting and legal compliance. Programme information follows the retention period stated in the relevant programme documents.
8. Security
We use proportionate administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, disclosure or misuse. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed as completely secure.
9. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to provide access to your personal information, correct inaccurate information, delete information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or provide information in a portable form where relevant. You may also opt out of business communications.
To make a request, email info@preventra.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited information where required by law or to protect legal rights.
10. Children
This website is intended for organisational and professional users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the general contact form. Any programme involving children will use a separate approved process for parental or guardian consent, age-appropriate information and safeguarding.
11. External links
The website may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are controlled by their own policies, and Preventra is not responsible for those practices.
